Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park

I took my mom to the Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park for Mother's Day this year. http://www.meijergardens.org/ It was SO beautiful. I love nature and sculptures, so putting the two of them together in one place really moves me. I've included a photo of their massive horse sculpture and a their waterfall and rock garden. (I'm not sure of the proper name but it is so lovely.)

It was such a lovely day and there was an extra bonus because they were having a bonsai show that day. I'm including my favorite photo from that too. From what I've heard bonsai trees are regular trees that have been managed to stay small as they mature. I like this particular photo because it shows the bonsai tree on a table (that has been managed to be small its whole life) looking out the window at all the big trees outside. It is sorta what could of been for the little bonsai but never got to happen.

Wow. That horse sculpture is fabulous. I love it. It looks like Pegasus without the wings!

It was me who asked who the Killers are. Actually, I have never heard of them, which is why I asked who they are. I'm not much up on the current music or the groups that are popular right now.

And the meatless thing...I'm wondering why it's necessary for the employees to be meat free...that would be something I would probably do if I worked there, but still wouldn't understand why it would be necessary. It seems to be a little much to me.
