A Real Oscar Award

Our big Oscar Night America event at the Michigan Theater is Sunday, February 25th. We will have a REAL Oscar there for a photo opportunity with guests.

I just wanted to show off the Oscar. It is pretty cool and very heavy!

Dave Loves Me

Valentine's Day was peaceful with Dave this year.

Let me explain, each year I put on a BIG Valentine Day event at the Michigan Theater and about 600 people attend. So, most of the day I'm very busy and rushed to get everything done. At the end of the day I just want to relax and have peace and quiet.

That is exactly what I got this year with Dave. We had take-out Thai food, exchanged gifts and rested. What a wonderful V-day for me! Dave gave me 6 roses because Feb 14th is our 6 month anniversary, he gave me two CD's and a beautiful heart necklace. I've included pictures of all the wonderful things he gave me. (I didn't include the CD's)

I gave him a photo of us together, a small box of chocolates and a Teddy Bear that says "LOVE" on it. I know it is kinda gushy but what do you get a guy for Valentine's Day????

I'm 40 years old

I just turned 40 years old and I'm very happy.

When I turned 39, last year, I got pretty depressed about turning 40 but now that it is here I'm really happy. My life isn't exactly lined up like I thought it would be with a house, a husband and maybe some kids. However I have many other wonderful things in my life. I'm free to travel and do exactly as I please. I like my freedom! I'm happy to have the most wonderful boyfriend ever and I think we just might have a future together and that is exciting. (It has been 6 months and I'm not sick of him yet. That is a VERY good sign)

I've included pictures of the two cakes I got for my birthday. The chocolate one is from my co-workers and the lemon one is from my friend Wendy. She made it for me to have at my birthday open house. I had a small party at my apartment and the people I care most about attended. It was all good!

Florida was GREAT!

Florida was wonderful! I visited Clearwater Beach (not my favorite place, it was run down), Tampa, Naples and Orlando.

I loved Disney much more than expected. I thought a grown-up wouldn't have fun but I really did. They made me feel very special for my birthday.

There are more things to write but I'm busy getting ready for the Oscar party at work.
